The Beam is an invite-only network designed to support those connections.<br><br>Everyone should feel safe participating in The Beam. Harassment, exploitation, discrimination, fraud, and other conduct that threatens someone\u2019s safety or the integrity of the community are not permitted.<br><br>These Community Guidelines form part of The Beam\u2019s Terms of Use. By accessing or using The Beam, you agree to follow them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Where These Guidelines Apply<\/strong><br>These guidelines apply to everyone using The Beam and to everything shared or communicated through the platform, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Profiles and artist pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Tracks, artwork, videos, and other media<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Posts and member content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Comments, messages, and feedback<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Challenges, charts, and submissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Links and promotional material<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Usernames, biographies, and profile images<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">The same rules apply whether content is public, private, restricted, member-only, or available only to paying members. Content does not become exempt from these guidelines because access to it is limited or paid.<br><br>Content must also remain appropriate for The Beam\u2019s App Store age rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Be Respectful and Inclusive<\/strong><br>The Beam is intended to be a supportive and inclusive music community.<br><br>Do not post or engage in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Hate speech or discriminatory content targeting someone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, age, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, or another protected characteristic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, or threats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Repeated unwanted contact or unwelcome propositions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Content intended to shame, humiliate, degrade, or encourage others to target someone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Defamatory content or knowingly false allegations about another person<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Trolling or coordinated abuse<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Nudity, Sexual Content, and Exploitation<\/strong><br>The Beam is a music platform, not an adult-content platform. Do not post or share:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Sexual acts or content primarily intended for sexual gratification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Non-consensual intimate imagery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Sexual solicitation or services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Sexual exploitation, coercion, or grooming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Sexualized content involving or appearing to involve anyone under 18<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Links directing members to prohibited sexual content<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Violence, Dangerous Activity, and Self-Harm<\/strong><br>Do not post or share content that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Threatens, encourages, celebrates, or coordinates violence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Glorifies violence against people or animals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Contains graphic violence intended to shock or disgust<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Promotes terrorism, violent extremist organizations, or violent criminal activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Encourages dangerous acts that could cause serious injury<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Encourages suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Provides instructions for committing violent or seriously dangerous acts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Context may matter for newsworthy, documentary, educational, or artistic material, but The Beam may still limit, label, or remove content when necessary to protect the community. <br><br>If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Do not rely solely on an in-app report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Privacy and Personal Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Respect other people\u2019s privacy. Do not:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Share someone\u2019s home address, private phone number, personal email address, financial information, government identification, precise location, or other sensitive information without permission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Dox, threaten to dox, or encourage others to uncover someone\u2019s private information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Share private conversations, recordings, or intimate material without the appropriate consent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Attempt to obtain passwords, financial information, or other sensitive information through deception<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Use another person\u2019s likeness, voice, or identity in a misleading or harmful way<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Authentic Identity and Impersonation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">The Beam is a real-identity network.<br><br>Use the name and creative identity you use in your professional or everyday life. Artist identities, such as bands or collectives, may use an invented or collective name, but they must be managed by real individuals authorized to represent them.<br><br>Do not:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Impersonate another person, artist, band, label, venue, company, or organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Misrepresent your identity, affiliations, credentials, or authority<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Create duplicate accounts to evade restrictions or deceive other members<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Create an artist page you are not authorized to represent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Use deceptive profile information or manipulated identity materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Scams, Spam, and Deceptive Conduct<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Do not use The Beam to deceive, exploit, or manipulate other members. Prohibited conduct includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Scams, fraud, phishing, or deceptive links<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Misrepresenting services, opportunities, goods, or expected results<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Fraudulent fundraising or requests for financial information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Unauthorized or deceptive solicitation of money<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Repetitive or irrelevant promotional messages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Buying, selling, or artificially exchanging engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Using bots, scripts, or coordinated activity to manipulate charts, votes, plays, referrals, or other engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Creating fake accounts or activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Offering prohibited or illegally obtained goods or services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Legitimate fundraising or monetization through authorized Beam features is permitted, provided it is truthful and complies with applicable rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Intellectual Property<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Only share content that you own or are authorized to use.<br><br>Do not upload or distribute music, artwork, videos, photographs, writing, trademarks, or other material that infringes another person\u2019s rights.<br><br>You are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, permissions, releases, and clearances before sharing content on The Beam.<br><br>If you believe content on The Beam infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact <strong>copyright@thebeam.com<\/strong> with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Your name and contact information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Identification of the protected work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Identification or location of the allegedly infringing content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">An explanation of your rights and why you believe the use is unauthorized<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">A statement that the information you provided is accurate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Artificial Intelligence and Manipulated Media<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">The Beam supports creative tools, but members must be transparent about material uses of artificial intelligence.<br><br>Clearly disclose when content materially uses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Generative AI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">AI-generated or cloned voices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">AI-generated performances or likenesses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Synthetic or substantially manipulated images or video<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">AI-generated music, lyrics, or artwork<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Do not use AI or editing tools to impersonate someone, mislead the community, falsely represent authorship, or violate another person\u2019s intellectual-property, publicity, or privacy rights.<br><br>Minor production assistance\u2014such as noise reduction, mastering assistance, or routine editing\u2014does not require disclosure unless it materially changes who or what appears to have created or performed the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Keep It Relevant to Music<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">The Beam is a professional music community.<br><br>Content should have a meaningful connection to music, creative work, artist development, or the music industry.<br><br>Do not use The Beam primarily for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Political campaigning or unrelated political content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Dating or sexual solicitation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Selling unrelated goods or services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Repetitive off-topic promotion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Activity that disrupts the intended music experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Follow the Law<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Do not use The Beam to participate in, facilitate, encourage, or promote illegal activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">This includes selling or promoting illegal or restricted goods, distributing unlawfully obtained material, violating sanctions, or using The Beam in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Reporting Content or Conduct<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">If you encounter content or behavior that may violate these guidelines, report it through the in-app reporting tools.<br><br>The available report categories may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Spam, scam, or impersonation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Harassment or hate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Nudity, violence, or dangerous content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Other Community Guidelines violation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Select the category that most closely describes the issue. You do not need to investigate the matter yourself.<br><br>Reports are confidential. The Beam will not tell the reported person who submitted the report, except when disclosure is required by law or necessary to address an immediate safety concern.<br><br>Submitting a report does not guarantee that content or an account will be removed. We evaluate the available content, context, severity, and relevant account history when making enforcement decisions.<br><br>Do not knowingly submit false, misleading, duplicative, or retaliatory reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Blocking Members<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">You may block another member at any time.<br><br>Blocking a member will immediately remove their content from your experience and restrict their ability to find your profile or interact with you and your content. The person will not be notified that you blocked them.<br><br>When someone is blocked, The Beam records the block and may review associated content or activity to help identify abusive behavior and protect the community.<br><br>You can later unblock the member. After unblocking, you may once again be able to find and interact with each other, subject to your respective account and membership settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>How We Moderate Content<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">To help enforce these guidelines, The Beam may use:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Automated detection and filtering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Human moderation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Account and posting controls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Member reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Block and abuse signals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Other safety and integrity systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">These systems may review content before or after it is published. No moderation system is perfect, and content appearing on The Beam does not necessarily mean that The Beam has reviewed or approved it.<br><br>We review reports as promptly as reasonably possible. Reports involving credible threats, exploitation, or immediate safety concerns receive priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\"><strong>Enforcement<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">When content or conduct violates these guidelines, The Beam may take one or more of the following actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Issue a warning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Limit the visibility or distribution of content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Apply a warning label<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Remove content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Remove content from charts, challenges, or recommendations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Restrict posting, messaging, voting, monetization, or other privileges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Disqualify an entry or reverse improperly obtained engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Temporarily suspend an account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Permanently terminate an account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Preserve relevant information for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Notify law enforcement or other authorities when required by law or when necessary to address a credible and immediate threat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">We consider the nature, context, severity, and frequency of the violation, along with the member\u2019s history and intent.
